Welcome to the Dreamers of the Day network. Dreamers is not some pre-packaged organisation scouting new recruits . . but a nascent network of individuals seeking to develop our gifts and collaborate on creative endeavours that make a significant impact in society. Our partnership is based upon agreed central principles and values that leave space for diversity, while fostering a collective sense of purpose and mission.

This network is evolving and will always be open. Creatives, clergy, business types, educators, service sector peeps, financiers, domestic engineers, governmental employees, care-givers and media moguls - anyone is welcome. Join the conversation. Get involved. Create the future!

on being challenged

Below is my recent contribution to the Master's Artist blog...

I keep reading things about how 20% of the world’s population control 80% of its resources, how the comforts I enjoy as a citizen of the west are gained at the… Continue

Melanie on tour

Just thought I'd post the tour dates for the show I'm involved in. It's an Irish language production of Flann O'Brien's satirical novel An Beal Bocht/The Poor Mouth but before you reel in panic that the only Irish you know is how to ask to go to the loo ("an bhfuil cead agam dul go dtí an leithreas?" remember?), there is simultaneous translation in to English via a very unobstrusive headset.

The story takes the mickey out of all those books you were forced to study in school about how desperate… Continue

Add to the Beauty

We are beginning to experiement with how we do church and would welcome feedback and advice as we face the future. Here is just a report submitted to local paper to shed light on goings on in the Hatchery.
At our recent coffee bar multi-media service in ‘The Hatchery’, Nenagh Baptist Church explored the creativity of God through a local artist – ‘Kasha’ from Poland. She had skilfully drawn the outline of a flower on 12 squares of card – a gathering of about 30 people decorated these individual s… Continue

The role of the Arts 18 Replies

What is the role of the arts? How can art transform lives and communities? Where does art fit into the church? These are some of the questions we've been wrestling with lately. I've attached one p...
